Joint a newly build digital organisation within SCB's corporate & institutional banking. I lead a team of in-house designers and external agencies to revamp the global customer experience design across all business lines, establishing UX processes and design system and evangelising design.

Head of Design APAC & EMEA

As part of Citibank's global FinTech and Experience Design department I lead a team of multidisciplinary experts, agencies and freelancers to co-create a new global design language for Citi and create an entirely new and unified customer experience across all touch points. 

We take the whole cycle of ideation, creation and production in-house and educated the company on IDEO’s Design Thinking methodology for more innovative and customer-centric solutions.

EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR DIGITAL

Helped to establish a brand new innovation team for the regional office and partnered with the CEO and MD to implement a transition plan for the entire agency towards a more digital output.

Notable innovation lighthouse was a digital mirror for SK-II to demonstrate the long-term effectiveness of the product on the customers’ face. Spoke at design schools and the Spikes Asia advertising award about transforming creativity through technology.

EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR
ASSOCIATE CREATIVE DIRECTOR AND RIA DEVELOPER (until Oct 2010)

Managed and developed a department of 40 creatives in Beijing and Shanghai, unifying the previously split traditional and digital departments. My responsibility included campaign development, film, design and UX for campaigns, platforms and digital solutions as direct partner for clients. 
We created some of the country’s first viral and social campaigns, captivating millions of customers. 

The position required high sensitivity for the Chinese and Japanese cultures. Not only to build the necessary relationships with clients, but also for leading the internal teams and pay the right kind of respect.

During my tenure I unified the previously split traditional and digital departments, elevated and widened the creative output and helped to triple the existing client base.

Freelance RIA DEVELOPER and ART DIRECTOR

I took time off to learn Flash AS3 coding in OOP frameworks from the ground up. 
For two years I freelanced at some very creative digital agencies, learning about the structure and clarity of good code as well as which culture and team setups seemed to work well and which didn’t.

At Interone I helped to develop the AS3 frameworks and specials. We pushed the limits by creating state-of-the-art dynamic functionality, suitable for global international roll-outs of all content. For Kolle Rebbe I helped to create CMS-driven RIA experiences for two brands.

FOUNDER, CREATIVE and BUSINESS LEAD

What do you do when your agency dies over night as part of the global Dotcom collapse? Call the major pan-European client, spend the last bit of your money to fly cross-continent and win them over and trust you with the account? Yes, pretty much.

For 5 years we served VFC Corp's largest brand Wrangler Jeans, creating concepts, strategy, websites, campaigns and digital training tools. All from a basement and with a freelance-based setup that was very unusual at the time.

LAVA / iXL / Skillberry

ART DIRECTOR DIGITAL

Lava was one of the first digital agencies in the country, being bought by American iXL and ultimately renamed to Skillberry with employee numbers reaching from 12 to 250. All this within 2 years – It was the Dotcom era after all.

I joined as a Digital Art Director and worked on the first online shopping platform of the country, designed countless websites, display ads and Flash applications. At the time, every project was breaking new ground.
